About Dr. Harris

The decision to surgically enhance oneself is intensely personal, so it’s very important to be comfortable with and confident in your plastic surgeon. We would like to take this opportunity to tell you about Dr. Harris and his background as a plastic surgeon:

Dr. Scott W. Harris was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. He attended St. Mark’s School of Texas and credits his high school for having taught him how to study. After high school, he went to Texas A&M University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Harris received his medical degree from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and completed General Surgery training in Phoenix, Arizona. He later accepted a Plastic Surgery residency at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston — a world-renowned Plastic Surgery program, both for their research and its numerous alumni who are recognized as pioneers in the plastic surgery field.

Having completed General Surgery and Plastic Surgery training, Dr. Scott Harris achieved board certification through the American Board of Surgery (1992-2002) and the American Board of Plastic Surgery (1993- present). Despite his already lengthy education, he decided to do one more year of fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Following this extensive training, Dr. Scott Harris started a private practice in his hometown of Dallas, Texas. He maintains privileges at the Medial Center of Plano, Baylor Hospital of Dallas, and Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. Within his current office, he and his partners enjoy the use of their fully accredited ambulatory surgery center, the Surgery Center of Texas.

Professional medical journals have published Dr. Harris’ articles on facial cosmetic surgery and a variety of types of reconstruction. He has addressed local, state and national meetings on such topics as body and facial rejuvenation. In fact, he has traveled the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East to teach a variety of new plastic surgery techniques. But more than his academic interests and publicity, he enjoys just taking care of his patients. He loves to see the look on their faces after changing a figure after a breast augmentation or liposuction. He lives for those looks from those whose lives he’s changed.

At your first consultation, he will discuss your areas of concern with you and develop a plan to meet your goals. Based on years of experience and professional judgment, Dr. Harris develops an individualized surgical plan for each and every patient. Along with his wonderful staff, Dr. Harris will review your procedure in detail, including your expected results, and answer all of your questions. Following that meeting, you will have a thorough understanding of all your options. And if you choose to proceed with surgery Dr. Harris and his team will be with you every step of the way.
