A Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is a special fat grafting procedure that increases the size and enhances the shape of the butt. It does all this without implants. BBL is also used for body contouring, helping you look shapelier in the right places.
They are mainly outpatient procedures. They use general anesthesia or intravenous (IV) sedation together with a local anesthetic. The procedure involves three steps:
Ladies in their 20s and 30s do not usually have issues. They want to improve on what they already have. They desire a dramatic, curvy shape. However, ladies in their 40s and older have skin that is already sagging. They have a loss of volume, visible cellulite, and loss of firmness in their buttocks.
Both cases make ideal candidates for getting a BBL. But before getting this procedure, it is always good to check with your cosmetic surgeon. They will go ahead with the procedure if:
Initially, you may need several procedures to get the results that you want. Recovery can take up to eight weeks. During this time, you will not be able to sit. You will have to lie on your stomach or your side. After this, it may take six months for you to see the full results of the procedure. Ensure that your weight does not fluctuate.
This procedure has more natural results than other forms of buttock surgery. It also creates more roundness and firmness on your buttocks. It has a lower risk of infection than silicone implants and ensures balance.
Like any other surgical procedure, the BBL has risks. The skin can get necrotic, and infections can cause complications. To ensure that these are minimal, follow the advice given by your doctor.
Sometimes the fat does not place well. An experienced cosmetic surgeon will take this into account and place more than needed to ensure that you get close to your desired results.
